As a consortium involved in the EYES project, aiming at empowering young people in climate change actions, we are thrilled to announce that The European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) is inviting young professionals, aged 18 to 34, to apply for the Young Energy Ambassadorship.

This opportunity allows young individuals to be part of shaping the conversation on the EU's energy future by participating in discussions, interactive sessions, and workshops during the conference in Brussels from June 11 to 13, 2024. The initiative covers travel and accommodation costs and provides a platform for ambassadors to contribute their perspectives on clean energy and climate change mitigation beyond the conference. Applications close on March 3, 2024. For more details and to apply, visit the EUSEW's official webpage.

The European Union is demonstrating its commitment to involving young people in tackling climate change by launching the Young Energy Ambassador program.

It's a vivid example of how the EU values the insights and energies of the younger generation in driving forward the agenda on climate action. This program not only offers a unique opportunity for youth to engage directly in shaping the energy landscape but also underscores the critical role they play in advancing sustainable solutions.

The European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) stands as the European Union's flagship event dedicated to renewables and efficient energy use, embodying the EU's commitment to engaging young people in the climate change dialogue. EUSEW 2024 promises to be a confluence of thought leaders, policymakers, industry representatives, and activists, all united under the theme "Net-zero competitiveness driving EU energy transition."

EUSEW offers a diverse program, including a high-level Policy Conference, the prestigious EUSEW Awards, networking opportunities at the Energy Fair, and the fifth edition of the European Youth Energy Day. This day is specifically designed to empower young individuals aged 18 to 34, giving them a platform to voice their vision for Europe’s energy future. This initiative not only brings the youth to the forefront of the sustainable energy conversation but also serves as a testament to the EU's valuation of their contributions towards combating climate change.

In addition to the main events in Brussels, EUSEW extends its reach globally through Sustainable Energy Days, organized by various public and private entities from April to June. These events aim to engage local communities and stakeholders in the clean energy transition, showcasing the EU's holistic approach to fostering sustainable energy practices.

As the largest event of its kind in Europe, EUSEW has evolved into a pivotal platform for driving the clean energy transition forward. It underscores the EU's comprehensive strategy to not only enhance energy efficiency and adopt renewable resources but also to involve the younger generation in shaping a sustainable and energy-efficient future.

For young activists eager to make a difference in the fight against climate change, the EUSEW and the opportunity to become a Young Energy Ambassador represent a unique chance to contribute to shaping Europe's energy landscape. It's a call to action for the youth to engage, innovate, and lead the change towards a sustainable energy future.
